Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933–2020) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, serving from 1993 until her death in 2020. She was the second woman ever to be appointed to the Supreme Court and is known for her work advocating for gender equality and women's rights.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Ginsburg graduated from Cornell University before attending Harvard Law School and later transferring to Columbia Law School, where she graduated tied for first in her class.
