Robert Service - كتب

Robert Service (1874–1958) was a British-Canadian poet and writer, best known for his poems about the Yukon and the Klondike Gold Rush. His works capture the spirit of adventure and the ruggedness of life in the North, often celebrating themes of nature, hardship, and the human spirit.

Some of his most famous poems include "The Shooting of Dan McGrew" and "The Cremation of Sam McGee." His storytelling style, combined with a lively rhythm, made his poetry popular during his time and continues to resonate today.

In addition to poetry, Service wrote novels and autobiographical works. His experiences as a bank clerk and a prospector in the Yukon influenced much of his writing. Despite his fame, he lived a relatively private life, and much of his work reflects his love for the outdoors and the challenges of frontier life.
