Maj Sjöwall (born April 25, 1935) is a Swedish author and translator, best known for her work in collaboration with her partner, Per Wahlöö. Together, they created a series of ten detective novels known as the "Martin Beck" series, which features the titular character, a police detective in Stockholm.
