"Rosemary's Baby," published in 1967, tells the story of a woman who becomes pregnant under mysterious and sinister circumstances, exploring themes of paranoia and trust. It was adapted into a highly acclaimed film in 1968, directed by Roman Polanski.

"The Stepford Wives," published in 1972, critiques suburban life and gender roles through the story of a man who discovers that the women in his town are being replaced by submissive robots. This novel also inspired a film adaptation, released in 1975 and later a remake in 2004.
