Helen Keller - كتب

Helen Keller (1880–1968) was an American author, political activist, and lecturer who was both deaf and blind. Despite these significant challenges, she became a renowned advocate for people with disabilities and an influential figure in various social movements.

Keller lost her sight and hearing after an illness at the age of 19 months, possibly scarlet fever. With the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan, she learned to communicate through sign language and braille, which opened up the world to her. Keller went on to graduate from Radcliffe College in 1904, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She authored several books, including her autobiography, "The Story of My Life," which provides insights into her experiences and struggles and has inspired many throughout the years. In addition to her literary accomplishments, Keller was an outspoken advocate for women's suffrage, labor rights, and people with disabilities. She worked with organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and was a founding member of the American Federation for the Blind.

Keller's life and work have left a lasting legacy, symbolizing resilience and the pursuit of education and equality regardless of physical limitations. She continues to be an inspiration to many around the world.
