Che Guevara

Che Guevara - كتب

Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928-1967) was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, and a major figure of the Cuban Revolution. Born in Rosario, Argentina, Guevara studied medicine before embarking on a journey through South America, where he witnessed poverty and social injustice, which greatly influenced his political beliefs.

Guevara became a key ally of Fidel Castro during the Cuban Revolution, playing a significant role in the overthrow of the Batista regime. After the revolution's success in 1959, he held various government positions in Cuba, including Minister of Industry. He was instrumental in implementing agrarian reforms and promoting a Marxist economic model.

Disillusioned with the direction of Cuba and the limitations of the Soviet model, Guevara left Cuba in 1965 to promote revolutionary movements in other countries. His efforts to incite revolutionary activities in the Congo and later in Bolivia ultimately led to his capture and execution by Bolivian forces, with assistance from the CIA, in 1967.

Guevara has become a symbol of revolutionary struggle and is often used as an icon for leftist movements around the world. His image, particularly the famous photograph by Alberto Korda, has become a global symbol of rebellion and anti-imperialism. His writings and thoughts on guerrilla warfare and revolution continue to be studied and debated.
